It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that Wilmington's Holden Campbell has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the center fielder may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.

It was a smooth and solid performance by Rubén Bereda of the New Orleans Voodoo against Wilmington today. He crafted a fine 3-hitter in blanking them 1-0 and chalked up 8 strikeouts and no walks along the way.
"It certainly makes my job easy," said the New Orleans skipper. "When my pitcher pitches a shutout. I can just sit back, watch, and enjoy."

"I had everything working for me out there. I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With stuff like that, it was easy for Gil Hollis of the Whitecaps to handcuff the Knights 9-0 and come away with a complete game 4-hit shutout. He recorded 5 strikeouts and 5 walks in an impressive performance.
This season Hollis has a 6-4 mark in 11 starts with a 3.01 ERA. He has given up 86 hits in 83.2 innings, struck out 61 and issued 24 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .262 batting average against him.
