| Breaking News |  | Saturday, June 20th, 2054: Great Stroke! Jackson Gets 5 Hits! 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Phoenix's John Jackson had a very special day against the Choo Choos when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Phoenix Coyotes to a 18-9 win at Roadrunners Ballpark.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Jackson said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
J. Jackson hit a two-run home run off Á. Peña in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Jackson is batting .312 this season in 70 games with 4 home runs, 36 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 77 hits in 247 at-bats. |  | Wednesday, June 17th, 2054: Boyce Smacks 5 Hits for Defenders It's not something you read in the sports pages everyday -- a 5-for-5 day. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Steve Boyce got one today. He scattered hits all over Ballpark of Myrtle Beach to pace Myrtle Beach to a 11-5 victory over Phoenix.
The Phoenix skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Boyce hit several that he is not supposed to hit."
S. Boyce hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off D. O'Toole in the 9th.
In 2054, Boyce is hitting .277 with 1 home runs and 23 RBIs in 71 games played.
