The United League AA has selected its Player of the Week and the honor went to Dan Murphy, Cleveland's fine third baseman.
For the week the he batted .625 (15-24) with 1 home run, 9 runs and 1 RBIs.
This season Murphy is swinging the bat at a .363 pace. He has hit 3 home runs and scored 56 times, while driving in 35. His on-base percentage is .407 and he has played in 104 games.

 | Wednesday, July 29th, 2054: Stanley Raps Cleveland for 5 Hits
It seemed that Terre Haute right fielder James Stanley could do no wrong as the Jets kayoed the Blues 13-10 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Cleveland pitchers couldn't get him out as Stanley seemed to know which pitches they were throwing.
"I think the Jets were stealing signs." growled one unhappy Cleveland fan.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play." exclaimed the jubilant Stanley in the postgame press interview.
J. Stanley doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off K. Kuai in the 8th.
In the 2054 season Stanley is batting .326 with 128 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 59 times and batted in 47.

 | Saturday, July 11th, 2054: Barnett Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
John Barnett was on fire today and sparked his club to a 13-6 victory over the Blues. The Stillwater second baseman was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against Cleveland in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."
J. Barnett singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This year Barnett is batting .269 with no home runs.
