| Breaking News |  | Sunday, July 19th, 2054: Jiménez Magnificent in Terre Haute Win Carlos Jiménez really wowed everybody at the ballpark with his 7-0 shutout victory over Terre Haute today. The Harrisburg pitcher mystified the Jets in a strong performance. He gave up 4 hits and totaled 1 walk and 6 strikeouts.
His manager said, "Carlos had them chasing a lot of pitches and turning around and saying 'wow' . . . we were thinking the same thing, too. It was something special to watch."
His record this season is 10-7 in 22 starts and Jiménez has a 3.42 ERA. |  | Sunday, July 5th, 2054: Valentín Baffles Harrisburg Arturo Valentín of the Spotsylvania Falcons shut out the Harrisburg Bats 7-0, held them to 4 hits, and had 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Valentín said, "I could throw any pitch on any count."
The Harrisburg skipper called his game a jewel, saying, "The way he was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him."
This year Valentín has fanned 62 in 125 innings and collected a 8-8 record with a 3.82 ERA. |  | Saturday, July 4th, 2054: Spotsylvania Shuts Out Harrisburg Bartolo Rivera of the Spotsylvania Falcons was on top of his game today. He tantalized the Harrisburg Bats with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest and came away with a 5-0 shutout.
In the postgame comments, the Harrisburg skipper said, "He had the changeup working. You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower."
The Spotsylvania hurler had 8 strikeouts, gave up 2 walks and surrendered 5 hits in his complete game effort.
Rivera told reporters after the game, "To be successful in this league, you have to keep the ball down. If you don't, they'll make you pay."
