Saturday, September 5th, 2054: Royal Oak Rockers Win Round 3
The Royal Oak Rockers concluded the season in grand fashion -- they won the TTBL Double A Round 3. They nailed it down at Rockers Ballpark by whipping the Burlington Waterbeasts 6-3 to win it all. They took the series 4-3.

Their motto for the season was "Win or Die Trying".

"They never let up and they never stopped trying the whole season," the Rockers manager proudly told reporters. "They hustled and fought the whole season and it continued in the playoffs. They are a very special bunch of guys."

To get their 1st league crown, the Rockers finished up the regular season in the Federal League AA Division 1 with a 70-50 record, ending up in second place in the division standings.
Thursday, August 13th, 2054: McCutcheon Batters Stillwater Big Time!
History in the making. That's what the fans at Burlington Grounds got to see today, when Burlington outplayed the Seals 13-11. Wilber McCutcheon of the Waterbeasts came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Stillwater.

In the postgame press conference the Stillwater skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."

W. McCutcheon doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off R. Figueroa in the 7th.

Thus far this year McCutcheon is batting .263 with no home runs, 8 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
Thursday, August 13th, 2054: Pérez on Fire, 5-6 Against Burlington
Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Stillwater's Ricardo Pérez had a very special day against the Waterbeasts when everything came together for him. He really swung the bat with authority, getting 5 hits in 6 at-bats. However, it was Burlington that picked up the victory. They topped the Seals 13-11 at Stillwater Stadium.

"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Pérez said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but the loss kinda put a damper on the day."

Disappointed or not, he still gets his name written in the record books.

R. Pérez flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off H. González in the 9th.

This year Pérez is hitting .388 with 188 hits, 6 home runs, 65 RBIs and has scored 84 runs.
