| Breaking News |  | Monday, August 10th, 2054: Jouda Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
Akihiko Jouda put on a hitting clinic today as the Rattlers dumped the Dragons 12-7 at Midland Fields. The Midland right fielder sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Kitchener pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game.
He told SION reporters after the game, that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch."
A. Jouda grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off R. Gaston in the 9th.
This year Jouda has hit 5 home runs and posted a .373 batting average.

 | Saturday, August 1st, 2054: Kitchener First Baseman FLA Best Batter in July
Fans, friends, and family were cheering today when Scott Roberts received July's Federal League A Batter of the Month Award.
Roberts stung the ball all month, posting a .333 batting average with 7 home runs, 23 RBIs and 23 runs scored.
During the current season Roberts is batting at a .296 clip with 16 home runs and 82 RBIs. He has played in 105 games and scored 58 times.

| Monday, July 27th, 2054: FLA Votes Kitchener First Baseman Top Player
Scott Roberts of the Kitchener Dragons had a super week and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Federal League A.
The 21-year-old first baseman put up a .522 average with a .607 on-base percentage, racking up 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
This year Roberts has hit at a .294 pace and produced 78 RBIs, 15 home runs and scored 54 runs.
