| | Friday, September 4th, 2054: Glendale Wins Round 3! The Jewelers earned their 1st Round 3 title and now get to spend all winter basking in glory, while the beaten Midnight Riders will have many sleepless nights wondering what went wrong.
Glendale is the TTBL Single A Champions for 2054. They did it with a 6-2 triumph to capture the series 4-3.
"Both clubs are talented. We just made fewer mistakes than they did," the winning manager said to the press corps at the postgame press conference. "We made the crucial plays and got the timely hits."
The Lexington skipper agreed with that assessment and added, "We were a little weak on fundamentals at crucial times. I have a sneaky suspicion we will be working on fundamentals a lot next spring."
On the way to the Round 3 championship, the Jewelers ended up in first place in the Federal League A Division 2 and compiled a 77-43 record during the regular season. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 6-1, .857 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 3-1, .750 PCT | | Record on the road | 3-0, 1.000 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 1-1, .500 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 2-0, 1.000 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 4-1, .800 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 6-1, .857 PCT | | Record in April | 6-1, .857 PCT |
