| Breaking News | | Tuesday, September 22nd, 2054: Reilly on Rampage Against Greyhounds! 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Jeffrey Reilly of the Twin Falls Kings had a sensational 5-5 game against San Benito at Twin Falls Stadium. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark, but it didn't pay off in a victory. The Greyhounds took the game 7-6.
In the postgame press conference Reilly joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off...Right, Skip?" His manager retorted half-smilingly, "Only if we win the game, son...only if we win the ballgame. That's what they pay us to do, you know."
J. Reilly singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
To date this season Reilly is hitting .247 with 5 home runs. | | Friday, September 18th, 2054: Mesh Smacks 5 Hits for Tigers Players get multi-hit games all the time. In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the right fielder of the Tigers exclaimed, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens...good things happen...like 5-6. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."
