Some bad news for the Nashville Stingrays: Simon Barber will be out of action for about 2 weeks with fractured ribs. Reached for comment, Barber explained that the injury occurred while getting beaned by a pitching machine. "Just my luck," he said.

News of contract negotiations between Rod Coleman and Nashville spread like wildfire as the two sides moved ever closer to a deal yesterday.
When it was announced this morning, the city was abuzz with excitement as the young phenom was welcomed into the fold.
It took a 3-year deal worth $12,000,000 to land him.
For his career Coleman has 14 wins and 17 losses with 9 saves. His ERA stands at 3.11 and he has fired third strikes past 274 batters in 289 innings while giving up 119 walks.

Despite his solid numbers, some fans questioned the value of the Bill MacRob signing even as Nashville officials paraded him before the media this afternoon.
MacRob will surely bring a lot to the club, but he comes at a price of $9,360,000 over 3 years.
In his career MacRob is batting .265 with 715 hits, 93 doubles, 24 triples and 108 home runs.
