Toshitsugu Endo and the Boston Dockers got a bad break in today's game against the Cyclones as the team confirmed he will miss 7 months with a torn tricep muscle. The Dockers starting pitcher suffered the injury throwing a pitch. The team doctor is confident he'll make a full recovery.
This season to date Endo has a record of 6 wins and 3 losses with a 5.03 ERA, has appeared in 12 games and struck out 52 in 62.2 innings. |

In an impressive mound performance, Bob Venables of the Kansas City Tornadoes checked the Boston Dockers on a 6-hitter and held them scoreless.
"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," according to the Boston manager.
"Venables kept us confused the whole game."
The Kansas City hurler rang up 4 strikeouts and issued 3 walks in his 4-0 shutout victory.
To this point in the season, Venables shows a 7-4 record, 11 starts, 79 innings, 61 strikeouts and a 2.85 ERA. |

The Federal League has selected its Player of the Week and the honor went to Ralph Lee, Boston's fine right fielder.
For the week the he batted .667 (14-21) with no home runs, 8 runs and 4 RBIs.
This year Lee has hit at a .337 clip with 66 hits, 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and 35 runs scored.
