| Breaking News |  | Saturday, April 10th, 2055: Coyotes Halt Mann's Hit Streak
Barracudas left fielder Dave Mann went 0-for-3 today in Houston's 3-1 triumph over the Mexico City Coyotes, snapping his 23-game hitting streak.
Mann spoke to BNN after the game and said, "I knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later. I just would have preferred later."
When he made an out in his last chance at bat, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout.
The Coyotes manager shrugged off the streak. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," he said. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."
So far in 2055 Mann is hitting .375 with no home runs, 4 RBIs and 1 run scored. He has 9 hits and played in 6 games.

 | Saturday, March 13th, 2055: Coyotes Starting Pitcher Hurt
After injuring himself, Coyotes starting pitcher Simon Trahan headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Trahan will miss at least 3 weeks with a damaged meniscus.

 | Friday, March 12th, 2055: Mexico City-Los Angeles Brawl, Styron and Bond Suspended
Foster Styron of the Mexico City Coyotes and Lewis Bond of the Los Angeles Gunslingers will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended 9 games apiece by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Coyotes-Gunslingers game at Coyotes Ballpark.
Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Styron and Bond will begin serving them soon.
