| Breaking News |  | Sunday, September 13th, 2054: Brito Day-to-Day with Injury
Houston's star second baseman Gabriel Brito injured himself in a game against the Cape Cod Hooks, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as a bruised cheekbone and the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Brito with a smile as he talked to SION reporters.
This season Brito is hitting .258 with 19 home runs.

 | Friday, September 4th, 2054: Houston Loses Dave Bradford
"It was kinda freaky. Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected Dave Bradford after injuring himself in a game against Baltimore. The Houston manager told SION reporters, "He will miss up to 2 weeks with a bruised foot." The Barracudas will have to decide over the next day or two whether the shortstop will go on the disabled list.
In 2054 Bradford has produced 118 hits in 516 at-bats for a .229 average with 12 home runs and gotten on base at a .305 clip.
