Sunday, March 14th, 2055: Ouch! Ray Rose Shelved by Injury
Ray Rose and the Long Island Saints got a bad break in today's game against the Senators as the team confirmed he will miss 2 weeks with a tender shoulder. The Saints reliever suffered the injury throwing a pitch. The team doctor is confident he'll make a full recovery.

Friday, September 18th, 2054: Austin No Match for Parker
On the hill Aaron Parker stood out and was the master of the moment as he blanked Austin 7-0.

At bat the Senators floundered, fizzled and failed to score.

"His fastball moves and he mixes in the slider," the Austin manager said. "He kept us off balance."

The Long Island pitcher hurled a 6-hit shutout in an exceptional effort. He gave up 3 walks and numbered 5 strikeouts.

"I felt good," Parker said. "That's probably the best fastball I've had all season. I was able to locate it pretty well. They were super-aggressive, which helped me."

In 34 starts this year Parker has crafted a 11-14 record and a 3.55 ERA.
Tuesday, September 1st, 2054: Right Fielder Honored by UL
Whenever Saints right fielder Bo Sampson stepped into the batter's box last month, the 26-year-old meant business. With his .347 average he virtually ran away with the United League Rookie of the Month Award.

He collected 35 hits in August with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 20 runs scored.

In 113 games this year Sampson has posted a .293 average and put up these numbers: 6 home runs, 34 RBIs and 80 runs scored.
