Monday, March 29th, 2055: Averill Suffers Injury
The Blue Sox received bad news this morning. Lee Averill will miss 2 weeks due to back spasms. In the Baltimore-Tucson game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Averill sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."

Saturday, March 13th, 2055: Blue Sox Lose Schneider
It took the Baltimore team doctor a while to realize it, but left fielder Ralph Schneider won't simply play through a dislocated finger after he got hurt making a defensive play in today's Phoenix-Blue Sox game. At first, it looked like Schneider might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 1-2 weeks.

Monday, November 30th, 2054: Baltimore Announces Deal for Veteran SP
Rumors of a deal between Alex Bryant and Baltimore finally bore fruit today as the two sides faced a packed press corps. Blue Sox officials looked very pleased as they outlined the terms of the new deal.

Bryant will earn $15,100,000 per year for 1 year, and is expected to make a solid addition to his new club.

On his lifetime ledger sheet, the 40-year-old Bryant has won 81 and lost 34 with a 2.77 ERA.
