 | Monday, June 1st, 2054: Bombers-Coyotes Trade: for Pérez
A trade between the Indiana Bombers and the Mexico City Coyotes was made official this morning. The Indiana Bombers have sent a 12th round draft pick, a 13th round draft pick, a 14th round draft pick and a 15th round draft pick to the Mexico City Coyotes in exchange for 24-year old left fielder Luis Pérez.
This year Pérez has socked 9 hits in 40 at-bats for a .225 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .238 pace and his totals also include 2 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |
 | Tuesday, May 5th, 2054: Martínez Out 4-5 Weeks with Injury
The Bombers received bad news this morning. Cris Martínez will miss 4-5 weeks due to a herniated disc. In the Indiana-Baltimore game he sustained the injury while making a defensive play. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Martínez sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."
For 2054 Martínez is hitting .250 with 4 home runs. His stats include 17 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
