Dave Bradford was on fire today and the Houston shortstop was a tough out, but it was all in vain as the Barracudas fell 4-3 to the Sidewinders. For the game he went 5 for 6 against Tucson in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in. We just didn't get enough hits at the right time."
D. Bradford hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
In 53 games this year Bradford has posted a .221 average and put up these numbers: 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 21 runs scored. |

Allegedly, Kent Daniels has asked to be traded from Tucson. It is rumored that he is unhappy with fans and the team management and that maybe the pressure and demands of playing here are too great.

 | Thursday, February 5th, 2054: Manatees-Sidewinders Trade: King for Russell
The Florida Manatees have finalized a deal with the Tucson Sidewinders for the services of 35-year old shortstop Bobby Russell and a 2nd round draft pick. In exchange, the Sidewinders will receive 25-year old minor league starting pitcher Jing-yu King, 18-year old minor league first baseman Salvador Ríos, a 2nd round draft pick, a 3rd round draft pick and a 12th round draft pick.
Russell has a career .293 average with 650 hits, 129 doubles, 19 triples, 16 home runs, 213 RBIs and scored 341 runs to date.
